As part of this mandate, we support LGBTTQQPIANU+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Two-Spirit, Queer, Questioning, Pansexual, Intersex, Asexual, Non-Binary, Unlabelled, and more) communities and individuals, as well as their supporters, friends, family and loved ones.

University Wellness Services encompasses the University Health Centre, the Sexual Assault Centre, the University Health Centre Pharmacy, the Mental Health Centre, and our Health and Wellness Team.

The Peer Support Centre, formerly the Student Distress Centre, is a Students' Union service that offers the University community a place to talk to someone for support. In crisis now? You have options! No problem is too big or too small: Drop-in to 2-707 SUB or call the Peer Support Centre HelpLine at 780-492-HELP

APIRG (The Alberta Public Interest Research Group) is an incredible resource based at the University of Alberta. We support student- and community-based research, education and social activism. We provide the administrative, informational and technological resources to help student working groups to transform social concern into effective action.

At University Student Services our goal is to provide students with the resources to achieve their full potential, both within the university community and in society as a whole. We are dedicated to supporting the academic and personal endeavours of every student through advocacy, leadership and partnership.

Safewalk provides a safe and reliable alternative to walking alone at night around the campus community and beyond. Safewalk was created not as a reaction to crime, but as a proactive step to build the safest possible campus community. We serve campus by walking clients and patrolling as a measure of crime deterrence, while upholding a strict policy of non-intervention.

As a collective plan established by students for students, your Students' Union Health & Dental Plan offers affordable health coverage that often costs less than a parental or employee plan. Specifically designed for students, it includes health, dental, vision, and travel coverage, as well as tuition insurance, and - very unusually - allows students to opt-out of the plan.

Proper nutrition shouldn’t be a luxury item. Campus Food Bank exists to ensure that the campus communities have access to healthy food as a right, not a privilege – one must eat well in order to learn well. If you are in need, please do not hesitate to use our confidential services.
